Topics

AMFR 2026 will focus on the fluxes of all materials in large riverine systems, including water, sediment, nutrients, natural organic matter, trace materials, emerging contaminants, living organisms, and greenhouse gases. The conference will also address topics such as river health diagnosis, risk management, and the remediation of damaged river ecosystems. Special emphasis will be placed on the interactions among materials within river systems, covering aspects of data acquisition, monitoring, analysis, and management in the context of big data and artificial intelligence.

The topics of AMFR 2026 include:

  • Water-sediment fluxes and river health;
  • Basin materials interactions and energy cycling;
  • CN cycling and greenhouse gases in aquatic systems;
  • Point source pollution control and emerging contaminants monitoring in rivers;
  • AI-driven modeling and quantitative assessment.
